A Long-Lost Chivalry

Last night I watched the 1950 film version of Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac.

The movie was phenomenal, and Jose Ferrer perfectly captured the great swordsman who had the face of a clown and the soul of a poet. There's really no way to lose with lines like, "As for you sir, have you read "Don Quixote"? - I have, and found myself the hero," and swash-buckling sword-fights that pit 100 against one.

  1. I am literally in love with Cyrano and I can't BELIEVE you watched the movie without me, you cad. I re-read the play at least once a month.

  2. Write more stuff. Your blog is boring. Not as boring as mine though actually, so I guess I shouldn't talk.
