I recently applied to a part-time weekend job writing reviews for PartyEarth, a classy guidebook for nightlife-lovers worldwide.

Thanks to PartyEarth, I was winning so much this weekend. I headed to Lion Head Pub on Friday night, where Joe [the manager] brought me complimentary BBQ wings; Firecracker Shrimp; and a Margherita pizza. Yum! Adam [another manager] mixed up special free shots for Ilana and me.

So, all this free food comes out -- and Ilana chooses that moment to tell me that she recently went vegan. Whoops!

Obviously I then proceeded to eat 5 wings; all of the shrimp; and most of the pizza single-handedly. Good thing I hadn't had dinner that night. Allow me to say that it was delicious and my review will be online soon.

Earlier on Friday, I attended my second "6 string social" aka group guitar class at Old Town School of Folk Music. I love that place, and the interesting characters it attracts. I'm usually the only female there, not to mention the only person born anytime after 1980. Winning!
