Candlemas

On Thursday, I attended Mass at Holy Name Cathedral for the Feast of the Presentation of the Child Jesus. Holla!

Holy Name's 5:15pm has become my regular weekday Mass lately. They have one young-ish priest in particular who gives really good homilies. And it's soo close to work - perfect for lazy little me!

Since today was the Presentation, we started off Mass with a candlelight ceremony. Every person received a candle to hold. We lit each other's candles, and the priest gave special prayers. It was a really sweet little ceremony, and now I finally know what the feast of Candlemas is! (candles + Mass, yay.)

Afterwards I was off to Spirit and Truth for a talk on the Bible and some gettin' down with the Lord.

Topped the day off with bacon-wrapped dates and spiked cider at Blue Star, where I questioned my adorable friend Cassandra on EVERY DETAIL of her recent engagement.

It seems like everyone is getting engaged, married, or producing offspring these days, and I couldn't be more excited. The more love the better. That's why I love seeing and being around happy couples.
