Marching

I am currently using a computer in the Georgetown University library, Lauinger Library, to update my blog and check emails. I'm spending a whirlwind D.C. weekend before the annual March for Life on Monday.

We left last night from ND, and I spend the 12 hour bus ride sharing music and devouring Swedish Fish with Sam and Theresa. I managed to doze off for a few hours to the sounds of Beethoven, and woke to an 8 a.m. arrival in Virginia. We spent the morning on the National Mall, and lunched at the innovative Chop't in D.C.'s Union Station. This afternoon, I finally explored the adorable area around Georgetown University.

I loved the quaint shops and tantalizing restaurants lining M Street, and we trespassed into a few administrative buildings and nearly crashed a wedding in the Dahlgren Chapel. Now, we're scoping out the library prior to dinner with friends at a local pub.

Although I'm enjoying this city (as always), it's heart-breaking to remember the sad reason for the trip. This weekend, and on Monday especially, please say a prayer for those participating in the March for Life and their intentions.

  1. So there. I read it. I forgot about that wedding. Whirlwind weekend is right.
