I've arrived!
On the flight over, I sat next to an adorable Italian girl, a student at University of Bologna. As we landed, she grabbed my arm and exclaimed, "Welcome to Europe!"

Tonight, we are staying in the Fundacion, our classroom building. Tomorrow we will move in with our families.
These pictures are the view out my window at the "Fund".
As we arrived, Toledo seemed an enchanted medieval city, shrouded in mist. I've already done a little exploring. =)

Random: This was an ad at the airport. It mentioned the Spanish custom of eating 12 grapes on New Years' Eve. It reminded me of my family.
I like the wine bottle on the roof, get to a little drinking already? But seriously that view is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMama says "Oh gosh, it's 'El Primer Dia' not 'La Dia Primera'" We are now laughing at you muahahaha LOVE YOU
ReplyDeleteI like the bars in the windows. It makes it look like you're in prison...on a less creepy note, you have a beautiful view!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I called Annette over to look at your pictures and we got to the one about the grapes and she said: Lilly's such a nerd.
I miss you! Hope you're having fun!! And sadly, I think you've missed your chance to stay on campus this semester. I know you're bummed, but it'll be okay :)
Maggie :)
