I Left My Heart in Dublin

Or my beloved sister and friends, at any rate. (And wouldn´t that be a great title for an Irish drinking song?)

Spent a spectacular, action-packed two days in Dublin, where I stayed with the incomparable Emily Whalen and enjoyed a reunion with my wonderful PLSers...

- Toured all over Dublin, from Trinity College to Haypenny Bridge to the National Library and Art Gallery.
- Enjoyed all kinds of deliciousness at Queen of Tarts, Butler´s Chocolate Café, Bewley´s, and the incredible, epic Guinness Storehouse. (I would list food high on the list...)
- Created a magical ¨Yeats-ian Day¨ with Tess and Emily, including wandering the cliffs of Howth, picnicking while reading Yeats aloud, and visiting his house at Howth and an exhibit on him at the National Library.
- Talked... and talked... and talked with Tess, who I´ve missed more than I will ever let her know.
- Saw the relics of St. Valentine, which rest in Dublin for no discernible reason.
- Visited O´Connell House, the lovely home to the Dublin Abroad Program.
- Strolled through St. Stephen´s Green and Merrion Square, passing St. Patrick´s Cathedral and the childhood home of Oscar Wilde.
- Became more eager than ever for the epic Notre Dame reunion two weeks from now in Rome.
