In the Footsteps of Nuns

In my Theology class we learned about Cardinal Cisneros. This powerful Spanish cleric supported several prestigious schools and universities. During the Middle Ages, he founded one of the only schools in Europe where women could receive higher education. Though reserved for nuns, this convent-cum-university was still very prestigious and far ahead of its time.

¨Where do you think this school was located?¨ Professor Santos asked us (in Spanish, of course).
¨In San Juan de la Penitancia- the very same building now owned by the Fundación Ortega y Gasset for international students. Right here, where you live and take classes.¨

How´s that for intellectual tradition.
