Innsbruck

I arrived safely in scenic Innsbruck, Austria and met both John and Erika almost immediately. Perfect. I haven´t seen John (one of my favorite PLSers) in almost a year, so it´s exciting to catch up with him and realize how much I missed his scintillating conversation.

I love Austria so far. Innsbruck is surrounded by snowy Alps and has a laid-back, sports vibe, it´s one of the best skiing towns in Austria. John cooked us dinner last night, but I´ve also enjoyed apple streudel (YUM) and fulfilled my life dream of trying wiener schnitzel. Delightful.

Today we visited the Alpenzoo, an Innsbruck attraction featuring animals of the Alps. We saw goats, moose, vultures, bears, lynxes, hogs... Also witnessed an ehtnic street performance by costumed Austrian children (I want a dirndl!) and visited some pretty local churches. I´m looking forward to relaxing and enjoying good conversation during the next few days. I love Innsbruck.
